Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain information from your Shopify account: your store name, domains, time zone, currency, languages and markets, your products and collections so you can choose what each offer applies to, your published theme so we can check that the App is switched on in it, and the automatic discounts the App creates.

We save the offers and settings you create. To show you how your offers perform, we also receive the orders placed in your store, limited to the order number, order date, totals, prices and discounts of the items, and the markers the App adds to gift and offer items. From these we keep a summary per order: the order number, its date and total, which offers it included and the revenue they brought in, and whether it was cancelled. We do not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, customer IDs or IP addresses.

On your storefront, the App counts when an offer is shown, clicked or added to the cart. These counts carry no information about who the shopper is, and they are only sent when the shopper has allowed analytics through your store’s cookie consent. The shopper’s IP address is used briefly in memory to prevent abuse, and is never saved. The App also saves small technical values in the shopper’s browser storage, such as offers they have dismissed and secret offer links they have opened, so the offers behave correctly across pages. No cookies are set.

Whether a shopper is logged in, their customer tags and their number of past orders can decide which offers they see. This is checked in the shopper’s browser and by Shopify at checkout, and is never sent to or stored by us.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use this information to operate the Service: to show your offers on your storefront and at checkout, to apply their discounts, to show you analytics for your own store, and to manage your plan and billing. We also use it to respond when you contact us.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or to track visitors across other websites. We share information only with the service providers we use to host the App and its database, and only as needed to provide the Service.

We may also share personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Data Retention

Your offers and settings are kept while the App is installed. Order summaries and analytics are kept for 13 months and then deleted automatically. When you uninstall the App, our access to your store is removed right away, and about 48 hours later, when Shopify sends us your store’s erasure request, all of your store’s data is deleted. Because the App stores no customer personal information, a customer data request or erasure request from Shopify finds nothing to return or delete.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that it be corrected, updated or deleted. To exercise these rights, please contact us.

Please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
