Annual billing works out at $29/year — a 19% saving. ### FAQ **What types of offers can I create?** Volume discounts, tiered pricing tables, Buy X Get Y and BOGO deals, and mix & match offers that combine several variants or products into one discount. **Will it work with my Shopify theme?** Yes. Quantity Breaks installs as an app block on Online Store 2.0 themes, so it drops straight into your product page from the theme editor — no code changes needed. For older themes we will help you place the widget manually. **Can I apply offers to specific products or collections?** You can target an offer at your whole catalogue, at selected collections, at individual products, or at specific variants — and run several offers side by side. **Does it work with subscription apps?** Quantity Breaks applies its discounts through Shopify Functions, so it works alongside most subscription and cart apps. Tell us which one you use and we will confirm the combination before you install. **Do you offer support if I need help?** Yes — support comes from the developers who build the app, and it is included in the plan. We will help with setup and theme placement at no extra cost. --- ## Sticky Add to Cart https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/sticky-add-to-cart **Keep the buy button on screen, always** — A sticky add-to-cart bar that follows the shopper down the product page, so the moment they decide, the button is already there. Category: Conversion. Compatibility: Works with Online Store 2.0 themes. ### Highlights - **Always within reach** — The buying action never scrolls out of view. - **Built for thumbs** — A mobile bar sized for one-handed tapping. - **Matches your theme** — Colors, corners and type follow your storefront. ### Features - **Persistent bar** — A sticky add-to-cart bar on every product page, on desktop and mobile. - **Variant picker** — Shoppers switch size or color from the bar without scrolling back up. - **Quantity control** — Increase the quantity in place, right next to the button. - **Live price** — Price and compare-at price update the instant a variant changes. - **Scroll trigger** — Reveal the bar only once the shopper passes the main buy button. - **Full styling control** — Position, colors, radius and button copy are all yours to set. ### How it works 1. **Add the block** — Drop the bar into your product template from the theme editor. No code. 2. **Style and position it** — Choose top or bottom, pick your colors and decide which controls show. 3. **Capture the decision** — Shoppers add to cart from wherever they have read to on the page. ### Who it is for - **Mobile-heavy stores** — Where most sessions never reach the buy button again. - **Long product pages** — Rich descriptions, reviews and comparison tables. - **Single-product brands** — One hero product that the whole page is built around. - **Every other store** — Any catalogue, any niche, any theme. ### FAQ **Will it work with my theme?** Yes. The bar installs as an app block on Online Store 2.0 themes, so you place it from the theme editor without touching code. On older themes we will help you position it manually. **Can I show it only on mobile?** You can enable the bar per device, so it can run on mobile only, desktop only, or both with different positions on each. **Does it slow the page down?** The bar renders with the rest of your product template rather than loading a separate widget after the fact, so it appears with the page instead of shifting content once it arrives. **Can shoppers go straight to checkout?** Yes. You can swap the add-to-cart action for a buy-now action if you would rather shorten the path, or show both side by side. --- ## WhatsApp Chat https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/whatsapp-chat **Turn a question into a conversation** — Put a WhatsApp button on your storefront so shoppers can ask before they buy, in the app they already use every day. Category: Support, Conversion. Compatibility: Works with Online Store 2.0 themes. ### Highlights - **No new inbox** — Conversations land in the WhatsApp you already run. - **Answer before the doubt** — A question asked is an objection you get to handle. - **Set your hours** — Show the button when someone is actually there to reply. ### Features - **Floating chat button** — A WhatsApp button on every page, positioned wherever you want it. - **Multiple agents** — Route to sales, support or a specific person from one button. - **Prefilled messages** — Open the chat with the product name and page already in the message. - **Business hours** — Hide the button, or swap it for a contact form, outside your hours. - **Greeting bubble** — An optional prompt that invites the question instead of waiting for it. - **Styling control** — Color, size, position and copy, tuned separately for mobile and desktop. ### How it works 1. **Connect your number** — Add the WhatsApp number, or numbers, that should receive messages. 2. **Place the button** — Choose where it sits, what it says and when it is visible. 3. **Reply and close** — Messages arrive in WhatsApp with the product the shopper was viewing. ### Who it is for - **Considered purchases** — Higher price points where shoppers want to ask first. - **Made-to-order brands** — Sizing, customization and lead times need a human. - **WhatsApp-first markets** — Regions where WhatsApp is the default way to reach a business. - **Small support teams** — One or two people who would rather not run a helpdesk. ### FAQ **Do I need WhatsApp Business?** A standard WhatsApp number works. WhatsApp Business is worth using if you want a catalogue, saved replies and away messages, but the app does not require it. **Can I route to different people?** Yes. Add as many agents as you need, give each one a role and an availability window, and shoppers pick who to message. **Will it appear on every page?** That is up to you. Show it everywhere, or restrict it to product and cart pages where a question is most likely to block a sale. **What happens outside business hours?** You can hide the button entirely, or keep it visible with a message that sets the expectation for when you will reply. --- ## Age Checker https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/age-checker **Age verification, made simple** — A clean age gate for stores that sell age-restricted products, with the wording, styling and rules you need to set. Category: Protection. Compatibility: Works with Online Store 2.0 themes. ### Highlights - **Set the rule** — One minimum age, or a different one per country. - **Gate what matters** — The whole store, or only the products that need it. - **On brand** — Your logo, your wording, your colors — not a generic popup. ### Features - **Date of birth or confirm** — Ask for a full date of birth, or a single yes-or-no confirmation. - **Per-country minimums** — Apply a different minimum age depending on where the visitor is. - **Product-level gating** — Gate specific products or collections instead of the entire store. - **Remembers the answer** — Verified visitors are not asked again for the period you choose. - **Custom wording** — Write the heading, body, buttons and the message shown on a failed check. - **Full design control** — Logo, background, blur, colors and corners, on mobile and desktop. ### How it works 1. **Set your minimum age** — Choose one age for everyone, or vary it by country as your rules require. 2. **Choose what is gated** — Apply the check to the whole store or to selected products and collections. 3. **Style the gate** — Add your logo and wording so the first screen still looks like your brand. ### Who it is for - **Wine, beer and spirits** — Where verification is the price of doing business. - **Vape and tobacco** — Strict minimums that differ from one market to the next. - **Supplements and wellness** — Products with an age floor on part of the catalogue. - **Mature content** — Any store where the first screen needs a check. ### FAQ **Does this make my store legally compliant?** Age Checker gives you the controls to enforce the rule you need — the minimum age, the markets it applies to and the products it covers. What that rule should be depends on your products and the markets you sell in, so confirm the requirement with your own advisor and we will help you configure it. **Will visitors be asked on every page?** No. Once someone passes the check the answer is remembered for a period you set, so they are not interrupted again during the same visit. **Can I gate only some products?** Yes. Apply the gate to the whole store, or restrict it to specific products and collections so the rest of your catalogue stays open. **Does it affect SEO?** The gate is rendered on top of your existing page rather than replacing it, so your product content, structured data and metadata stay exactly as they are. --- ## Theme Sections https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/theme-sections **New sections for your theme, without a developer** — A library of ready-made storefront sections you drop into any Online Store 2.0 theme from the editor you already use. Category: Store Design. Compatibility: Works with Online Store 2.0 themes. ### Highlights - **No code** — Add a section from the theme editor like any built-in one. - **Yours to shape** — Every color, spacing and text field is a setting. - **Stays yours** — Sections live in your theme, alongside the rest of it. ### Features - **Section library** — Hero banners, comparison tables, FAQs, testimonials, logo rows and more. - **Theme editor native** — Sections appear in the Add section list next to your theme own ones. - **Every setting exposed** — Type, spacing, color and layout are all controlled without code. - **Responsive by default** — Each section is designed for mobile first and adapts upward. - **Use anywhere** — Home, product, collection and page templates all take the same sections. - **Custom CSS escape hatch** — Add your own styles when a design needs the last five percent. ### How it works 1. **Pick a section** — Browse the library and add the one that fits the page you are building. 2. **Fill in your content** — Set the copy, images and links from the theme editor, with a live preview. 3. **Publish** — Save the template and the section ships with the rest of your theme. ### Who it is for - **Merchants without a developer** — Changes you would rather not queue behind an agency. - **Fast-moving teams** — Landing pages that need to go up this week. - **Growing catalogues** — New collections that each need their own story. - **Agencies** — A reliable starting point on every client build. ### FAQ **Do the sections work with any theme?** They work with any Online Store 2.0 theme, which covers every current Shopify theme. On a legacy theme the sections cannot be added from the editor, so we would look at upgrading the theme first. **What happens if I uninstall the app?** Pages that use a section stop rendering it, so before uninstalling, replace or remove those sections from the templates that use them. **Can I change the design?** Every section exposes its colors, spacing, typography and layout as settings, and there is a custom CSS field for anything beyond that. **Will it slow my store down?** Sections render server-side with the rest of the theme rather than being injected by a script after load, so there is no flash of unstyled content. --- ## Country Blocker https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/country-blocker **Decide who can reach your store** — Allow or block visitors by country so you only take orders from the markets you actually ship to and want to serve. Category: Protection. Compatibility: Works with every Shopify plan. ### Highlights - **Allowlist or blocklist** — Open to a few markets, or closed to a few. - **Fewer bad orders** — Stop orders you cannot fulfil before they are placed. - **Your own message** — Blocked visitors see your wording, not a browser error. ### Features - **Country rules** — Pick the countries you allow, or the ones you block, from one list. - **Region and state rules** — Narrow a rule to specific regions where a whole country is too blunt. - **Custom blocked page** — Explain why, and point visitors at the store that does serve them. - **VPN and proxy handling** — Choose whether traffic that hides its origin is allowed through. - **Allow specific pages** — Keep policy, contact or wholesale pages reachable from anywhere. - **Redirect instead of block** — Send visitors to the right regional storefront rather than a dead end. ### How it works 1. **Choose your mode** — Start from an allowlist if you serve a few markets, a blocklist if you exclude a few. 2. **Set the countries** — Select the markets, and narrow to regions where you need to be precise. 3. **Write the message** — Say why the store is unavailable and where the visitor should go instead. ### Who it is for - **Regional shipping** — You ship to a defined set of countries and no further. - **Licensed products** — Distribution rights that stop at a border. - **Fraud-heavy markets** — Regions that generate chargebacks rather than revenue. - **Multi-store brands** — Send each visitor to the storefront built for them. ### FAQ **How is the country detected?** From the visitor IP address, resolved at the edge before the storefront renders. No account or address is needed, so the rule applies from the first page view. **What about VPN traffic?** You choose. Traffic that resolves to a known VPN or proxy can be treated as blocked, allowed, or sent to the same message you show blocked visitors. **Will it block search engine crawlers?** No. Crawlers are recognized and allowed through so your store stays indexed in every market, whether or not you sell there yet. **Can I redirect instead of blocking?** Yes. Point a country at another URL and visitors from there land on your regional storefront instead of a blocked page. --- ## Checkout Blocks https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/checkout-blocks **Make checkout do more of the work** — Add trust badges, upsells, delivery notes, gift options and custom fields to Shopify checkout, without writing an extension. Category: Checkout, Conversion. Compatibility: Requires Shopify Plus for checkout extensibility. ### Highlights - **The highest-intent page** — Every shopper who gets here has already decided. - **Drag and drop** — Blocks are placed from the checkout editor, not in code. - **Upgrade safe** — Built on checkout extensibility, so it survives updates. ### Features - **Checkout upsells** — Offer a relevant add-on at the moment the card is already out. - **Trust badges** — Show guarantees, returns and secure-payment marks where doubt peaks. - **Custom fields** — Collect a VAT number, a PO reference or a delivery note at checkout. - **Gift options** — Gift messages and gift wrapping, priced and passed to fulfilment. - **Delivery instructions** — Let customers tell the courier what they always end up phoning about. - **Conditional display** — Show a block only for certain products, markets or cart values. ### How it works 1. **Open the checkout editor** — Checkout Blocks appears in the block list alongside Shopify own blocks. 2. **Place your blocks** — Drag each block where you want it and set its content and conditions. 3. **Publish the checkout** — Changes go live with your checkout profile, with no theme deploy. ### Who it is for - **High-AOV stores** — Where one accepted upsell pays for the month. - **B2B and wholesale** — Purchase orders, tax numbers and account references. - **Gifting brands** — Messages, wrapping and delivery dates that matter. - **Complex fulfilment** — Anything where the courier needs a note to get it right. ### FAQ **Do I need Shopify Plus?** Checkout extensibility, which these blocks are built on, is available on Shopify Plus. On other plans we can achieve much of the same on the cart and post-purchase pages instead — tell us your plan and we will show you what is possible. **Will it break when Shopify updates checkout?** No. The blocks use Shopify supported extension points rather than scripts injected into the page, which is exactly the model Shopify maintains across updates. **Where does custom field data end up?** On the order, as attributes you can see in the admin, include in notifications and pass to your fulfilment or ERP integration. **Can I show a block to only some customers?** Yes. Each block can be conditioned on cart contents, cart value, market, currency or customer tags. --- ## PDP Builder https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/pdp-builder **Build the product page the product deserves** — A drag-and-drop builder for Shopify product pages, so every product can have the layout that sells it best. Category: Store Design, Conversion. Compatibility: Works with Online Store 2.0 themes. ### Highlights - **One page per product** — Stop forcing every product through the same template. - **Drag and drop** — Reorder the whole page by moving sections around. - **Mobile ordering** — Give mobile its own section order, not a squashed desktop. ### Features - **Section builder** — Gallery, buy box, benefits, specs, FAQ, reviews and comparison blocks. - **Reusable templates** — Build a layout once and apply it to a whole collection of products. - **Per-product overrides** — Break out of the template for the hero product that needs more room. - **Media layouts** — Galleries, sticky media columns and video, arranged how you want them. - **Separate mobile order** — Move the buy box above the story on mobile without touching desktop. - **Live preview** — See the real product data as you build, not a generic placeholder. ### How it works 1. **Choose a starting layout** — Begin from a template, or from the page your theme already renders. 2. **Arrange the sections** — Drag the blocks into the order that tells this product story best. 3. **Apply and publish** — Assign the layout to one product or to an entire collection. ### Who it is for - **Wide catalogues** — Products that need genuinely different page structures. - **Considered purchases** — Specs, comparisons and questions that need answering. - **Hero products** — The one product that carries the store. - **Teams testing layouts** — Change the page without waiting on a theme deploy. ### FAQ **Does it replace my theme?** No. PDP Builder controls the product template only. Your header, footer, collection pages and cart stay exactly as your theme renders them. **Can I apply one layout to many products?** Yes. Build a layout once, save it as a template and assign it to a collection, a tag or a hand-picked set of products. **What happens to my existing product pages?** Nothing until you assign a layout. Products with no layout keep rendering through your theme template, so you can move over one collection at a time. **Does it work with review and upsell apps?** Yes. App blocks from other apps can be placed inside a layout like any other section, so your reviews and upsells keep working. --- ## Mobile Bottom Menu Bar https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/mobile-bottom-menu **App-style navigation for your mobile store** — A fixed bar along the bottom of the screen that keeps your most-used pages within thumb reach on every page of the storefront. Category: Navigation, Store Design. Compatibility: Fits every iPhone, and plays nicely with your other apps. ### Highlights - **Where thumbs are** — Key pages at the bottom of the screen, not behind a header icon. - **Matches your brand** — Six ready-made looks, or your own colours, size and corners. - **See what they tap** — A tap count for every item shows which ones earn their place. ### Features - **Any link you want** — Build the bar from the items you choose in the app admin, in the order you want. - **Six ready-made looks** — Start from a preset, or set your own colours, size, corners and labels. - **More drawer** — Opens your store’s main menu without leaving the page the shopper is on. - **Tap analytics** — See which items shoppers tapped over the last 30 days, then change what the bar holds. - **You decide where it shows** — Hide the bar on chosen page types, and on desktop screens. - **Fits every iPhone** — Sits clear of the home indicator, and alongside the other apps on your store. ### How it works 1. **Choose your items** — Pick the pages the bar holds — search, cart, account or any link in your store. 2. **Match your brand** — Start from one of six looks, then adjust the colours, size, corners and labels. 3. **Watch the taps** — The tap count per item shows what shoppers use, so you can swap what they ignore. ### Who it is for - **Mobile-first stores** — Where the majority of sessions never see a desktop layout. - **Large catalogues** — Search needs to be one tap away, always. - **Repeat-purchase brands** — Returning customers who go straight for account and reorder. - **Any Shopify store** — Navigation that gets easier is never the wrong call. ### FAQ **What happens to my main menu?** It stays where it is. The bar’s More item opens a drawer with your store’s main menu, so shoppers reach every page without leaving the one they are on. **Can I hide it on some pages?** Yes. You can hide the bar on chosen page types, and on desktop screens, so it only appears where it helps. **Will it match my theme?** Start from one of six ready-made looks, or set your own colours, size, corners and labels so the bar reads as part of your store rather than an add-on. **How do I know which items work?** The app counts taps on each item over the last 30 days, so you can see which destinations shoppers use and replace the ones they skip. --- ## Shop Protector https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/shop-protector **Keep your storefront yours** — Stop casual copying of the product photography, descriptions and page code you paid to create. Category: Protection. Compatibility: Works with every Shopify plan. ### Highlights - **Content stays put** — Right click, drag and select are all yours to disable. - **Images protected** — Save-image and drag-to-desktop stop being one gesture. - **Switches, not code** — Turn each rule on and off from the app, instantly. ### Features - **Right-click protection** — Disable the context menu across the storefront, or on chosen pages. - **Text selection lock** — Stop descriptions and copy being highlighted and lifted wholesale. - **Image drag protection** — Prevent photography being dragged straight out of the page. - **Keyboard shortcuts** — Block view-source, save-page, print and developer tool shortcuts. - **Custom warning** — Show your own notice when someone attempts a blocked action. - **Rule exceptions** — Exclude pages, or your own staff, so protection never gets in your way. ### How it works 1. **Turn on the rules** — Enable the protections you want. Each one is a switch, applied instantly. 2. **Set your exceptions** — Exclude the pages and the staff accounts that need normal behavior. 3. **Add your warning** — Write the message shown when a blocked action is attempted. ### Who it is for - **Original photography** — Shoots you commissioned and would rather not see reposted. - **Written-once copy** — Descriptions that took real work to get right. - **Design-led brands** — Storefronts that get cloned the week after they launch. - **Digital products** — Where the content on the page is close to the product. ### FAQ **Can content still be copied?** Anything a browser renders can ultimately be captured, and no app can change that. Shop Protector removes the easy paths — right click, drag, select, save — which is what stops the casual copying that makes up almost all of it. **Will it hurt my SEO?** No. The protections apply to visitor interactions in the browser. Your markup, structured data and content are served to crawlers exactly as before. **Does it block my own team?** You can exclude staff accounts and specific pages, so your team keeps normal browser behavior while visitors do not. **Does it work on mobile?** Yes. Long-press to save an image and text selection are both covered on mobile browsers as well as desktop. --- ## Free Shipping Upsell Bar https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/free-shipping-upsell-bar **Show shoppers how close they are to free shipping** — A live progress bar that updates as the cart changes, so the last few dollars to your free-shipping threshold stop being invisible. Category: Conversion. Compatibility: Works with Online Store 2.0 themes. ### Highlights - **The gap, made visible** — Shoppers see what is left to reach the threshold. - **Updates as they shop** — The bar moves the moment an item goes in or out. - **A way to close it** — Suggest the product that gets them over the line. ### Features - **Live progress bar** — On product pages, in the cart and as an announcement bar, updating in real time. - **Frequently bought together** — Offer an add-on sized to close the gap, rather than a generic upsell. - **Per-country goals** — Set a different threshold per market, shown in the local currency. - **Targeting rules** — Scope the bar by geolocation, product, collection or tag. - **Excluded products** — Keep items that you never ship free from counting toward the goal. - **Built-in analytics** — Conversion rate, the effect on average order value, and a per-country breakdown. ### How it works 1. **Set your threshold** — One free-shipping goal, or a different one for each market you sell in. 2. **Place the bar** — Product page, cart, sticky announcement — or all three, styled to your theme. 3. **Watch the cart grow** — Shoppers add the item that closes the gap, and the analytics show what it was worth. ### Who it is for - **Stores with free shipping** — A threshold that shoppers currently have to guess at. - **Low average order value** — Carts that stall a few dollars short of the goal. - **Multi-market stores** — Different thresholds and currencies per country. - **Mobile-heavy stores** — A sticky mini bar sized for a phone screen. ### FAQ **Where does the bar appear?** On product pages, in the cart, and as a sticky announcement bar. Turn on the placements you want — most stores run the announcement bar plus the cart. **Can I set a different goal per country?** Yes. Each market can have its own threshold, displayed in that market local currency, so the number always reads as a real amount to the shopper. **What about products I do not ship free?** Exclude them, and they stop counting toward the goal. You can also restrict the bar so it only appears in the countries where the offer applies. **How do I know it is working?** The built-in analytics report conversion rate and the effect on average order value, broken down by country, so the bar is measured rather than assumed. --- ## FitBlocks: Mobile Size Chart https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/size-chart **Size charts built for the mobile product page** — A size guide built for the mobile product page, with fit guidance that answers the question before it turns into a return. Category: Conversion, Store Design. Compatibility: Works with Online Store 2.0 themes. ### Highlights - **Built mobile-first** — A floating size button, not a table squeezed into a tab. - **Your measurements** — Your own rows, sizes and units — inches or centimetres. - **Fewer wrong sizes** — Fit guidance settles the question before checkout does. ### Features - **Custom size tables** — Build the chart from your own measurements, rows and size names. Nothing is locked to a preset. - **Fit guidance** — Tell shoppers when an item runs small, runs large, or fits true to size. - **Floating size button** — A tap target that stays within reach on the mobile product page and opens the guide in place. - **Inches or centimetres** — A unit toggle, so an international shopper reads the chart in the units they already think in. - **Product recommendations** — Surface related items from inside the size guide, so the drawer does more than measure. - **Store-wide or selective** — Apply one chart everywhere, or attach a different chart to the products that need it. ### How it works 1. **Build your chart** — Enter your measurements, name the sizes, and pick inches or centimetres. 2. **Choose where it shows** — Apply it across the store, or attach specific charts to the products that need them. 3. **Let shoppers check** — The floating size button opens the guide without taking anyone off the product page. ### Who it is for - **Apparel and footwear** — Where the wrong size is the most common reason for a return. - **Mobile-heavy stores** — Where most shoppers never see a desktop layout. - **International sellers** — Shoppers who think in centimetres, not inches. - **Fit-led brands** — Products where the measurements are the whole decision. ### FAQ **Can I use my own measurements?** Yes. You build the table from your own rows, size names and measurements, so it matches how your products are actually cut rather than a generic template. **Does it work properly on mobile?** That is what it is built for. The size-help button sits within thumb reach on the product page and opens the guide in place, instead of sending shoppers to a separate page they have to navigate back from. **Can different products have different charts?** Yes. Apply a single chart across the store, or attach a specific chart to one product or a group of products — useful when a jacket and a t-shirt do not share a size table. **Can shoppers switch between inches and centimetres?** Yes. A unit toggle lets an international shopper read the chart in the units they already use, which removes a conversion step for stores selling across markets. --- ## Social Media Icons https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/social-media-icons **Send your storefront traffic to your social profiles** — A floating icon widget that links shoppers to the platforms you actually post on, and tracks which ones they click. Category: Store Design. Compatibility: Works with Online Store 2.0 themes. ### Highlights - **Any platform** — More than fifty, plus custom icons for anything else. - **Styled by you** — Position, size, color, border and animation are settings. - **Measured, not guessed** — Click tracking shows which platforms earn attention. ### Features - **Floating widget** — Links to 50+ social platforms, docked wherever you want it on the page. - **Full styling control** — Position, size, colors, border style and animation, all from the admin. - **Brand or custom colors** — Use the platform brand colors, or one color across the whole set. - **Custom icons** — Upload your own for a platform, a community, or any link that matters. - **Per-page visibility** — Choose which pages show the widget, so it never competes with checkout. - **Click analytics** — A dashboard of clicks per platform, so you can drop the ones nobody uses. ### How it works 1. **Add your profiles** — Pick the platforms you post on and paste in the profile links. 2. **Style the widget** — Set the position, size, colors and animation, and choose which pages show it. 3. **See what gets clicked** — The dashboard reports clicks per platform, so the set stays worth showing. ### Who it is for - **Social-led brands** — Where the audience lives on Instagram or TikTok. - **Community stores** — A Discord, a group or a newsletter worth linking to. - **Content creators** — A storefront that is one part of a larger presence. - **Any Shopify store** — Profiles that currently live only in the footer. ### FAQ **Which platforms are supported?** More than fifty out of the box, and you can upload a custom icon for anything that is not on the list — a Discord server, a forum, a newsletter. **Can I control where it appears?** Yes. A visibility setting decides which pages show the widget, so you can keep it off the cart and checkout if you would rather not send people away at that point. **Will it match my store design?** Position, size, colors, border style and animation are all settings. Use the platform brand colors, or force a single color across the set so it reads as part of your design. **How do I know which platforms work?** Clicks are tracked per platform and reported in a dashboard, so you can see what your customers actually use rather than guessing. --- ## OmniGuard: Content Protector https://devoptly.com/shopify-apps/omniguard **Lock any part of your store, without touching theme code** — Put a product, a collection or the whole store behind a password, customer login, customer tag, schedule or secret link — set from the admin. Category: Protection. Compatibility: Free plan available, no theme code edits. ### Highlights - **Five ways in** — Password, customer login, customer tag, schedule or secret link. - **No theme code** — Rules live in the admin, and uninstalling leaves nothing behind. - **Hidden or truly locked** — Every rule says how strongly it is enforced, before you rely on it. ### Features - **Five kinds of gate** — Password, customer login, customer tag, schedule or secret link, chosen per rule. - **Protect exactly what you mean** — One product, a collection, URL patterns or the whole store — or bulk rules by tag, type or collection. - **Schedules and secret links** — Open content at a start time, close it at an end time, or share links with an expiry and a use limit. - **Your own lock screen** — Full-page or modal, with your logo, colours and wording — or redirect blocked visitors instead. - **Hide prices and add to cart** — Keep a product visible while its price and buy button stay behind the gate. - **Check before shoppers do** — Enter any storefront URL to see which rule applies and why, or dry-run a rule before it goes live. ### How it works 1. **Choose what to protect** — A product, a collection, URL patterns or the whole store. 2. **Pick the gate** — Password, customer login, customer tag, schedule or secret link. 3. **Decide what visitors see** — A lock screen with your own wording and branding, or a redirect elsewhere. ### Who it is for - **Wholesale and B2B** — Trade products and prices only tagged customers should see. - **Drops and launches** — Pages that open on a schedule, and not a minute before. - **Members and VIPs** — Collections reserved for a login, a tag or a secret link. - **Stores not ready yet** — A whole storefront kept private behind one password. ### FAQ **Do I need to edit my theme?** No. Rules are set from the app admin and nothing is written into your theme code, so uninstalling leaves your theme exactly as it was. **Does a rule hide content or actually restrict it?** Every rule is labelled with how strongly it is enforced, so you know whether it hides content from shoppers or truly restricts access before you rely on it. **What if two rules cover the same page?** Enter any storefront URL and OmniGuard shows which rule applies and why, so overlapping rules never leave you guessing. **Is there a free plan?** Yes. The free plan covers one protection rule with a password, customer login or customer tag gate, and a full-page or modal lock screen. Paid plans add more rules, schedules, secret links, your own branding and analytics. **Does it store my customers’ data?** No. OmniGuard keeps your rules and anonymous counts of how often each one is triggered and unlocked. It stores no customer names, email addresses or IP addresses, and an unlock is remembered in the shopper’s own browser. --- # Ventures ## DraftBetter https://devoptly.com/ventures/draftbetter **Better words for difficult conversations** — DraftBetter turns the message you have been putting off into one you are happy to send — clearer, kinder, and still in your own voice. Category: Productivity. Status: live at https://draftbetter.co. Most writing tools optimize for speed. The messages that actually cost people time are the awkward ones: declining an invitation, chasing an invoice, giving feedback, saying no to a client. DraftBetter is built for those — it asks what you are trying to say and who you are saying it to, then gives you a version you would be comfortable sending. ### Highlights - **Say the hard thing well** — Built for the messages people rewrite five times. - **Still sounds like you** — It sharpens your draft rather than replacing your voice. - **Ready in seconds** — Paste, pick a tone, send. No blank page. ### Features - **Tone control** — Warm, direct, formal or apologetic — the same message, pitched differently. - **Rewrite anything** — Start from your rough version and get one you would actually send. - **Context that matters** — Tell it the relationship and the stakes, and the reply changes accordingly. - **Situation templates** — Declines, follow-ups, feedback, apologies and introductions, ready to go. - **Length control** — Two lines or five paragraphs, without losing the point of the message. - **Multiple languages** — Write in the language the conversation is actually happening in. ### How it works 1. **Say what you need to say** — Paste your rough draft, or just describe the situation in a sentence. 2. **Choose the tone** — Set how warm, how direct and how formal the message should land. 3. **Send it** — Take the version you like, adjust anything you want, and move on. ### Who it is for - **Founders and managers** — Feedback, decisions and news that needs care. - **Support teams** — Replies that stay human when the message is not good news. - **Freelancers** — Scope, pricing and chasing payment without the dread. - **Anyone who writes at work** — The message you keep leaving in drafts. --- ## Touristoo https://devoptly.com/ventures/touristoo **Discover places worth the trip** — Touristoo helps travelers find destinations and experiences that fit how they actually travel, then turn a shortlist into a real itinerary. Category: Travel. Status: live at https://touristoo.com. Trip planning splits badly across tools: inspiration on one site, reviews on another, and a shortlist that lives in a notes app until the day before departure. Touristoo keeps discovery and planning in the same place — you browse by the kind of trip you want, save what appeals, and the itinerary builds itself out of the things you saved. ### Highlights - **Search by the trip** — Slow, coastal, cheap, in November — not just by city name. - **Detail, not listicles** — What a place is actually like, and when to go. - **Plan as you browse** — Everything you save becomes the itinerary. ### Features - **Destination guides** — What a place offers, what it costs and the season it is best in. - **Curated experiences** — Things worth doing, grouped by the kind of traveler who enjoys them. - **Filters that match reality** — Budget, season, pace, distance and who you are traveling with. - **Shortlists** — Save destinations and experiences into trips you are considering. - **Itinerary builder** — Turn a shortlist into a day-by-day plan you can adjust as you go. - **Share the plan** — Send the trip to whoever you are going with, before anything is booked. ### How it works 1. **Explore** — Browse destinations and experiences by mood, season, budget or pace. 2. **Shortlist** — Save what appeals into a trip. Compare options side by side. 3. **Build the itinerary** — Order your saved places into days and share the plan with your group. ### Who it is for - **Weekend travelers** — Short trips that need to be decided quickly. - **Long-haul planners** — Multi-stop trips with real logistics behind them. - **Solo travelers** — Places chosen for how they feel to visit alone. - **Groups and families** — One plan that everyone can see and argue with. --- ## Zeqo https://devoptly.com/ventures/zeqo **Simple tools for a better tomorrow** — Zeqo turns everyday choices into a number you can actually see — track your footprint, build the habits that move it, and watch the effect add up. Category: Sustainability. Status: live at https://zeqo.app. Sustainability advice tends to arrive as guilt or as a spreadsheet, and neither changes behavior for long. Zeqo takes the opposite approach: log what you did, see what it was worth, and keep a streak going. The number is the point, but the habit is what makes it move. ### Highlights - **See the number** — A daily figure instead of a vague sense of doing better. - **Small habits, tracked** — The changes you can actually keep, counted properly. - **Streaks that stick** — Consistency beats intensity, and the app is built for it. ### Features - **Daily impact dashboard** — One screen for what you saved today and how the week is trending. - **Habit tracking** — Pick the changes you are committing to and log them in a tap. - **Footprint estimates** — Transport, food, energy and purchases, converted into one comparable figure. - **Streaks and milestones** — Momentum you can see, and markers worth getting to. - **Weekly summary** — What changed, what slipped and the one thing worth trying next. - **Share your progress** — Send a summary to the people you are doing this alongside. ### How it works 1. **Log what you did** — Transport, meals, energy and purchases, in a few taps a day. 2. **See the impact** — Everything converts into one figure so choices become comparable. 3. **Keep the streak** — Build on the habits that moved the number and drop the ones that did not. ### Who it is for - **Households** — Everyday decisions that add up across a year. - **Habit builders** — People who already track and want this tracked too. - **The climate-curious** — Anyone who wants a number instead of an opinion. - **Workplaces** — Teams running a shared challenge with a real scoreboard. --- ## Swappsy https://devoptly.com/ventures/swappsy **A better version of the thing you were about to buy** — Swappsy suggests a smarter swap for the everyday choices you make without thinking, and tells you why the swap is better. Most decisions people would like to improve are small, repeated and made in a hurry — the coffee, the cleaning spray, the subscription renewing on Friday. Swappsy exists for that moment: one clear alternative, with the reasoning attached, so you can take it or leave it in a few seconds rather than opening five tabs. ### Highlights - **One clear alternative** — A single better option, not a page of search results. - **Reasoning included** — Why the swap is better, in a line you can check. - **Learns your priorities** — Cheaper, healthier or greener — you decide what better means. ### Features - **Instant swaps** — Name what you are about to choose and get the alternative straight back. - **Why it is better** — Each suggestion carries the reason, so you are not taking it on faith. - **Your definition of better** — Weight cost, health and environmental impact however you want them. - **Everyday categories** — Food and drink, household, personal care, tech and subscriptions. - **Saved swaps** — Keep the ones that stuck so the next decision is already made. - **Share a swap** — Send a swap to someone who is about to make the same choice. ### How it works 1. **Say what you are choosing** — A product, a habit or a subscription you are about to commit to. 2. **Get the swap** — One alternative, chosen against the priorities you set. 3. **See why** — Read the reasoning, then take the swap or keep what you had. ### Who it is for - **Conscious shoppers** — People who want the better option without the research. - **Budget-minded** — Small recurring costs that quietly add up. - **Health-focused** — Everyday swaps that compound over a year. - **Decision-fatigued** — Anyone tired of comparing before every small purchase. --- ## TodayBirthday https://devoptly.com/ventures/todaybirthday **Never send a blank birthday message again** — TodayBirthday writes and designs the wish, card or milestone post — personal to the person, ready in seconds. Traffic costs money and conversion rate is slow to move, but the number of units in a cart is something you can influence on the product page itself — using pricing you already control. A quantity break is the simplest version of that: buy more, pay less per unit. It is old retail logic and it works online for the same reason it works in a wholesale aisle. What decides whether it earns anything is the detail — where the tiers sit, how they are shown, and which products get them at all. ### What a quantity break actually is A quantity break is a discount that activates at a threshold. Buy two, save 10%. Buy four, save 20%. The customer chooses the tier by adding more to the cart — nothing is typed, and no code changes hands. That last part matters more than it sounds. A discount code field is a leak: shoppers open a new tab to go looking for a better one, and some of them do not come back. A quantity break is priced into the page, so the decision stays where the product is. ### Why they work - The unit price becomes the comparison. Once a shopper sees $18 each at three units sitting next to $20 each at one, the higher number starts to read as a penalty rather than the default. - The question changes shape. You have stopped asking "do you want this?" and started asking "how many?" — a far easier question for someone who has already decided to buy. - Bigger orders cost less to serve. One pick, one pack, one shipment. Some of the margin you give away on unit price comes back in fulfilment. ### Choosing tiers — the part most stores get wrong The common mistake is setting the first tier out of reach. If a typical order is one unit and the first discount lands at five, most shoppers will never see the offer as relevant, and the table is decoration. Start from what people already buy. Find the quantity most of your orders actually contain, then put the first tier one step above it. If most customers buy one, tier one is two. The job of that first tier is to move an ordinary order up by a single unit — not to sell a case. - Three tiers is usually enough. Two feels thin; five is a table nobody reads. - Keep the increments even — 2, 4, 6 reads better than 2, 5, 9. - Make each jump worth taking. A 2% step is not a reason to buy more of anything. > Discount depth is a margin decision before it is a marketing one. Work out what an extra unit is worth to you after fulfilment, then pick the percentage — not the other way round. ### Where the offer has to appear A quantity break that only exists in the cart is one most people never see. The threshold has to be visible at the moment of the decision, and that moment is on the product page. - On the product page, as a table near the add-to-cart button — not below the fold. - In the cart, as a nudge when the shopper is one unit short of the next tier. - On the price itself, so the saving is legible without arithmetic. The cart nudge is the one most stores skip and the one with the shortest path to revenue. A shopper holding two items who is told that a third makes all three cheaper is the easiest additional unit you will sell all day. ### What not to do - Do not put quantity breaks on everything. They suit consumables, multipacks and anything bought in more than one. They do not suit a single considered purchase — nobody needs two sofas. - Do not stack them with a sitewide sale without checking the floor. Two discounts that compound can take a product under cost. - Do not hide the tiers behind a variant picker. If a shopper has to change a selection to discover the offer, the offer is not doing its job. ### Measuring it honestly The metric is average order value, but only against a comparable period, and only read alongside margin. Discount too deeply and you can raise AOV while lowering profit — a dashboard showing one of those numbers will not tell you about the other. Give it a few weeks before judging it, then change one thing at a time: the first tier threshold, then the depth, then where the table sits. Changing all three at once means learning nothing from any of them. > Watch units per order next to AOV. If AOV rose and units did not, something else moved — a price change or a shift in product mix — and the quantity break is taking credit it has not earned. ### Getting it running Quantity Breaks handles the mechanics — tiers, the product-page table, mix-and-match sets and Buy X Get Y — on Online Store 2.0 themes. It is a single plan at $3 a month, so testing the idea on one product before rolling it out across a catalogue costs about as much as a coffee. --- ## What DraftBetter taught us about tone https://devoptly.com/resources/what-draftbetter-taught-us-about-tone Product Studio · Case study · 6 min read · published 2026-06-18 _Rewriting a difficult message is a design problem before it is a language problem. Here is how we approached it._ The messages that cost people the most time are short. Declining an invitation. Chasing an invoice that is three weeks late. Telling a client the scope has changed. None of them are hard to write in the sense of being long — they are hard because getting the tone wrong has a cost, and you can feel that while you are typing. We built DraftBetter for exactly those messages, and the first thing we got wrong was treating tone as a property of the words. It is not. It is a property of the relationship, and you cannot infer the relationship from the draft. ### Tone is not an adjective The obvious design is a dropdown: formal, casual, friendly. We built that. It produced text that was recognisably in the right register and still wrong, because the same sentence carries different weight depending on who is receiving it. "I need to push our deadline" is routine to a colleague and alarming to a client who has already paid. Formality and warmth are also independent. A message can be formal and kind, or casual and cold. Collapsing both into one control meant people picked the closest option and then rewrote the output anyway — which is the exact work they came to avoid. ### The missing input was the relationship What actually improved the output was asking two things the draft cannot tell you: who this is going to, and what is at stake. Those two answers change more than any tone setting. A decline to a close friend and a decline to a prospective client share almost no structure — the friend version can open with the answer, the client version has to earn it. - Who they are to you sets how much context the message needs before it gets to the point. - What is at stake sets how much softening is appropriate before it reads as evasive. - What you have already said to them decides whether this is a first message or a follow-up, which changes the opening entirely. > A useful test while building: if a tone control produces text you would send to two different people unchanged, the control is not doing anything. Real tone is specific to a reader. ### Sharpening beats replacing The second correction was about ownership. Early versions produced a polished message from a short prompt, and people did not send them. The text was fine. It just was not theirs, and sending something that does not sound like you to someone who knows you is worse than sending something clumsy. So the flow starts from your rough version rather than from a blank field. You write the blunt one — the one you would never send — and the tool adjusts it. The vocabulary, the rhythm and the specific details stay yours. What changes is the framing, the order and the amount of cushioning. ### Length is a tone control too This surprised us. People associate length with effort, and effort with respect. A one-line decline reads as dismissive even when the words are warm. A five-paragraph decline reads as guilty. Giving length its own control did more for perceived tone than adding tone options did, because it let people match the weight of the message to the weight of the relationship. ### What we took from it Rewriting a difficult message is a design problem before it is a language problem. The quality of the output depends almost entirely on which questions you ask before generating anything, and the useful questions are about people rather than prose. That lesson has outlived this product — it is the same reason the other things we build ask about context first and generate second. --- ## Designing discovery for travellers who have not picked a place yet https://devoptly.com/resources/designing-discovery-for-travellers Product Studio · Case study · 7 min read · published 2026-05-21 _How Touristoo turns an empty search box into somewhere to begin, without burying people in filters._ Travel sites assume you know where you are going. The search box wants a destination, and the whole experience unfolds from that one answer. But a large share of trips start earlier than that: someone has a week in November, a rough budget and no idea where to spend it. Touristoo is built for that earlier moment, and most of the design work went into the part before a place has been chosen. ### The empty box is a bad first question An empty search field asks for the one thing the traveller does not have yet. The usual workaround is a wall of inspirational photography, which is pleasant and does not narrow anything down — you scroll, you feel something vague, you leave and open a different tab. What people can answer at that stage is not the destination. It is the shape of the trip. ### Search by the trip, not the place The things travellers know first are constraints and mood: how long they have, roughly what they can spend, what month it is, whether they want to move constantly or sit still, and who is coming. Those are answerable in seconds, and together they eliminate most of the world. - Budget and season are hard constraints and belong first — they remove more options than anything else. - Pace is the one people forget to ask about and the one that most often ruins a trip. Slow and packed are different holidays. - Who you are travelling with changes the answer completely. A place that is wonderful alone can be miserable for a group of six. - Distance matters less as a number than as travel time, which is what people are actually budgeting. ### Filters have to be legible, not exhaustive Every filter you add makes the interface more capable and less usable. We kept a filter only when a traveller could predict what turning it on would remove. If the effect is not obvious, people either avoid it or use it once, get a confusing result and stop trusting the whole set. > A filter nobody can predict the effect of is not a feature, it is a source of doubt about the results. Fewer, more legible controls beat a complete taxonomy. ### Detail is the point, not listicles Once someone is considering a place, ranked lists stop helping. What they need is specific: what it costs to be there, which months are actually good, what the place is like rather than how it photographs. That level of detail is expensive to produce and it is the whole reason to visit a discovery site instead of scrolling somewhere else. ### Discovery and planning cannot be separate The other failure we designed around is the handoff. People find things in one place and plan in another — usually a notes app that gets opened the day before departure. Every one of those transitions loses information, and the shortlist is where the thinking lives. So saving is the same action as planning. Anything you save goes into the trip, and the itinerary assembles from what you saved rather than being a separate document you build later. It also means a half-finished shortlist is still useful, which matters because most trips are planned in short bursts over weeks. ### What we would do differently We underestimated how often trips are planned by more than one person. Sharing was treated as an export step near the end, when in practice the argument about where to go is the planning. Getting a shortlist in front of everyone earlier would have changed the shape of the product, and it is the part we would design differently from the start. --- ## Making everyday impact measurable, not preachy https://devoptly.com/resources/making-everyday-impact-measurable Product Studio · Guide · 5 min read · published 2026-04-16 _The thinking behind Zeqo’s daily impact view: one number, an honest streak, and no lectures._ Most sustainability tools pick one of two failure modes. Either they lecture, which people tolerate for about a week, or they hand over a spreadsheet of emissions factors, which people never open twice. Both assume the problem is that you do not care enough. Usually the problem is that you cannot see whether anything you did mattered. Zeqo is built on the opposite assumption: give someone an honest number that moves when they act, and the motivation takes care of itself. ### One number, every day The central screen is a single daily figure. Not a dashboard, not a breakdown by category — one number for today, and how the week is trending underneath it. The reason is comparability. Transport, food, energy and purchases are measured in different units and reasoning across them is work. Converting everything to one comparable figure loses precision and gains something more useful: you can tell whether today was better than yesterday without doing arithmetic. Detail is still there if you go looking, but it is not the first thing you see. ### Habits, not resolutions Big changes are the ones people announce and abandon. The changes that survive are small, repeated and slightly boring, which is also what makes them hard to feel good about — nothing visible happens on any individual day. So logging is a single tap, and the app is built for consistency rather than intensity. A streak is a crude mechanic and it works, because it makes the invisible accumulation visible. The number tells you what a choice was worth; the streak tells you that you kept making it. ### The estimate has to be honest This is the part where a tool like this loses trust permanently. Footprint figures are estimates, and an estimate presented with false precision reads as a lie the first time a user checks it against something they know. - Estimates are presented as estimates, not as measurements. - A figure that cannot be estimated well is left out rather than guessed at and dressed up. - The comparison that matters is you against last week, not you against a national average you did not choose. > Inflating a number to make someone feel good about a change is the fastest way to make the whole tool worthless. The number only motivates while it is believed. ### Not preaching The weekly summary was where the temptation was strongest. It would be easy to write copy that congratulates or scolds. Instead it reports what changed, what slipped, and one thing worth trying next — because a person who missed four days already knows they missed four days, and telling them again is how you lose them. The tone rule we settled on: state the number, offer one next step, say nothing about the kind of person the number makes you. --- ## One swap at a time: how Swappsy suggests a better option https://devoptly.com/resources/one-swap-at-a-time Product Studio · Case study · 5 min read · published 2026-03-12 _Why the app offers a single alternative instead of a list, and always shows the reasoning behind it._ > Swappsy is still being built. This is a note on the thinking behind it rather than a description of a shipped product. The decisions people most want to improve are the ones they make fastest. The coffee, the cleaning spray, the subscription renewing on Friday. Each is small enough not to justify research, and repeated often enough that the aggregate matters. The design constraint follows from that: whatever the app does has to fit in the few seconds someone will actually give it. Anything that turns a small decision into a research task has already failed. ### Why one alternative and not a list A list is the obvious answer and it is the wrong one. Returning ten options converts a small decision into a comparison exercise — which is precisely the work the person was avoiding by not thinking about it in the first place. You have not saved them anything; you have added a step. One alternative can be accepted or dismissed in a moment. It is a smaller promise and a much larger obligation: with only one suggestion there is nowhere to hide a bad one. ### The reasoning is not optional A recommendation without a reason asks for trust the app has not earned, and trust is the entire product. So every suggestion carries the reason with it, in a line short enough to read and specific enough to check. Making the reason visible also disciplines the suggestion. If the justification cannot be written in one checkable line, the swap is usually not as good as it looked. ### Whose definition of better Cheaper, healthier and greener frequently point at different products, and a tool that silently picks one of those and calls it better is making a values judgement on the user behalf. Which weighting applies is the user setting, not ours. The same query returns a different swap depending on what that person has said matters, and the reason line changes to match. > The honest failure state is saying there is no better option. A tool that always finds a swap is not evaluating anything. ### What we are watching for The open question is whether one confident suggestion feels helpful or presumptuous, and we expect that to vary by category. Household goods and subscriptions are probably comfortable. Food is more personal, and a swap that ignores what someone actually likes eating will be rejected regardless of how well reasoned it is. --- ## Turning a birthday message into a two-tap task https://devoptly.com/resources/birthday-messages-in-two-taps Product Studio · Case study · 4 min read · published 2026-02-19 _What we learned building TodayBirthday: people want a message they would actually send, not a template library._ > TodayBirthday is still being built. This is a note on what we have learned designing it, not a description of a shipped product. Almost nobody intends to send "happy birthday" and nothing else. It happens because the reminder arrives at 11pm, the blank field is intimidating, and something is better than nothing. The gap between what people meant to send and what they sent is the entire product. ### A template library does not close that gap The first instinct is to offer a browsable set of good messages. We tried it. Browsing templates has the same problem as the blank field: it is a task, at 11pm, and every message in the list is visibly written for someone else. People either send one and feel slightly cheap about it, or they close the app. The failure is not the quality of the templates. It is that a generic message is legible as generic to the person receiving it, which defeats the point of sending anything. ### Relationship first, occasion second What makes a message land is who the two people are to each other. A message to a sibling, a manager and a customer share nothing except the date. So the first question is the relationship, and the tone follows from it — funny for a friend, warm for a parent, professional for a colleague. That single input does more work than anything else, and it is answerable in one tap because most people are one of a handful of things to you. ### The message and the thing you send it on Splitting text and card into separate steps loses people between them. Someone who has just approved a message has finished, in their head — asking them to now design something is a second task, and the drop-off happens there. So the card carries the message and both arrive together. The two-tap target is relationship, then send. ### The reminder is half the product The best message generator is worthless the day after the birthday. A nudge the day before is what converts intent into a sent message, because it moves the writing out of the 11pm slot and into a moment when there is time to think. > We keep having to resist adding steps. Every extra question improves the output slightly and costs more people than it gains. --- ## Product pages that sell jewellery https://devoptly.com/resources/product-pages-that-sell-jewellery Product Studio · Guide · 6 min read · published 2026-01-22 _High-consideration buyers need different things from a product page. GetMyJewels is where we test what those are._ > GetMyJewels is still being built. This describes the problems we are designing against, not a finished product. The standard ecommerce product page is a solved design — for a t-shirt. Photo carousel, size dropdown, description, add to cart. It works because the purchase is low risk, the sizing is approximate and nobody needs to see the stitching up close before committing. Jewellery is the opposite on all four counts, and putting a ring on that page loses sales in specific, repeatable ways. ### Sizing is the actual blocker The single biggest reason a jewellery purchase does not complete is that the buyer is not confident about size. A dropdown of numbers assumes knowledge most people do not have, and a printable paper sizer assumes a printer and a willingness to go and find one. Two things change the outcome: a guided flow people actually finish, and a visible answer to what happens if it is wrong. The second matters as much as the first. Someone buying a gift cannot know the size, and telling them plainly that it can be resized removes the reason to abandon. ### Detail is not a description Metal, carat, stone and finish belong laid out the way a jeweller would present them, not buried in a paragraph of prose. Buyers at this price point are comparing specifics between shops, and a page that makes them hunt for the carat is a page they leave to go and check a competitor who states it plainly. - Show certification next to the piece rather than as a downloadable afterthought. A buyer who reads certificates is the buyer least likely to guess. - Photography has to justify the price. If the close-up detail is worse than the shop down the road, the price looks worse too. - Lead times for made-to-order work belong on the page, not in a confirmation email. Finding out after paying is how a good order becomes a refund. > Every one of these is a trust problem rather than a merchandising problem. High-consideration buyers are looking for reasons to believe the listing, and each unanswered question is a reason not to. ### Gifting is a different journey A large share of jewellery is bought for someone else, by someone who knows neither the size nor the preference. Treating that as an edge case on the same page is why gift purchases stall. Saving a piece, sharing it and letting the recipient resolve the details is a different flow, and it converts better than asking a nervous buyer to guess. ### What generalises The lesson travels beyond jewellery: the higher the consideration, the more the product page is doing the work a salesperson would do. Anticipating the question that stops the purchase, and answering it before it is asked, is most of the job. That is the same instinct behind the Shopify apps we build — each one exists because a default page left a specific question unanswered. --- # Support - **App Support** — Get help with our Shopify apps.
